Technology: Stool Test
Test description
The GI360™ Complete (2 Day) Profile is the most comprehensive of the GI360™ range. It detects and assesses the status of pathogens, viruses, parasites and bacteria that may be contributing to acute or chronic gastrointestinal symptoms and disease, using multiplex PCR molecular technology coupled with growth-based culture, ID by MALDI-TOF, sensitive biochemical assays and microscopy.
This test profiles the microbiome and compares results to a published normobiotic reference population. It also identifies gut pathogens and analyses stool chemistries and beta-glucuronidase. These markers provide valuable insight into the state of the gut, including inflammation and absorption.
The results can be used to inform and create valuable supplement and lifestyle interventions for clients.
The GI360™ Complete (2 Day) Profile includes:
-
PCR analysis of key bacterial abundance and diversity in the microbiome
-
PCR detection of pathogenic bacteria, viruses and parasites
-
comprehensive parasitology via microscopy
-
MALDI-TOF ID of cultured bacteria and yeast
-
standardised susceptibility testing of isolated bacteria and yeast
-
stool chemistry markers
-
beta-glucuronidase
This test requires two stool samples to be collected over the course of two days.
Please note, the price of this test includes a DHL home collection and shipping to Doctor’s Data in the USA where the samples are processed.
